How do I register my child for a program?

Find the program most suitable for your sailor in the grid on our Sail Camp page, and select. 

Once you find a program for your child to attend, here’s how registration works:

For ALL sailors 17 and younger:

  1. Click the 'Register' button under the payment options.
  2. Sign up with the sailor’s first and last name, but use parent or legal guardian email address
  3. Each child will require their own free membership account
  4. It’s OK to reuse the parent or legal guardian’s email address for multiple sailors
  5. Once payment is received for a program, a membership account will be created for you that gives you access to your sailor’s profile and course documentation, including SAYCSC Sail Camp Handbook.
  6. You must sign into your membership account and update your sailors emergency contacts, date of birth, etc.
  7. Signed waivers can be uploaded via your membership profile or brought to the first day of programming.

Once your sailor has a profile, it becomes very simple to sign up for additional programming, manage your email preferences, check out upcoming events, and stay connected!

How much does Sail Camp cost?

Payment must be received in order to guarantee your child's placement in summer sailing camp, based on availability.  
The following fees apply for summer sailing camp:

  • $395.00/week, each child, first week, non-SAYC member
  • $375.00/week, per additional week, non-SAYC member
  • $345.00/week, per child, per week, SAYC members only

*Our muti-week discount does not apply to multiple children in the same week*

How much does Sail Camp cost?

Why do I see "extra costs" on my check-out page?

If you are seeing "extra costs" on your check-out page, it is due to the "Additional Sail Camp shirts" boxes being selected on your sailor's registration. Simply deselect those boxes to remove the extra costs. 1 shirt is included with registration (on first week only), if you would like to purchase additional shirts, ordering early at the time of registration will guarantee your size.

Can I register for multiple programs?

Yes.  You only need to register your sailor once, then you may easily register for additional programs using the account that was created. Please request the multi-week discount code from our Sail Director

How do I register multiple children for the same program?

Register each child with their own name on their own account, but keep the parent's email address the same for all sailors. Please note, there are no discounts offered for multiple children attending the same week. 

What if registration is full for the week I want?

If you attempt to register for a certain program (event) and it has reached capacity, you will have the option to add yourself to the Waitlist for that program (event). Should a spot open up, you will be notified automatically. There is no guarantee that Waitlist registration will result in attendance for any particular event. If you are moved off the waitlist you will be notified immediately. 

Will I receive a confirmation?

Upon completed registration, you will receive an email confirmation from SAYC Sailing Center. Please check spam and junk folders! Your Sail Camp Handbook should answer all the questions you may have. This confirmation email is very important as it also contains the QR code needed for check in and check out each day.

What is my QR code for?

Upon completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code at the bottom. This QR code is unique to you/your sailor and is required for check-in and check-out each day of Sail Camp. Only persons listed in the 'Approved Pick-up List' on registration page who have this QR code will be allow to check-out your child(ren). It is your responsibility to share your QR code with all listed persons and keep this list updated in your or your child's profile. Simply screenshot, save and send. 

Are waivers required?

Every sailor must submit a medical waiver form in order to participate in Sail Camp.  Without a signed waiver on the first day of class, your sailor will not participate.   Download the waiver here and bring it with you on the first day.   If you have any questions, please contact the Sail Director.

What if I need to cancel?

To cancel your registration you must notify the Sail Director in writing. Cancellations received two weeks (14 days) or more in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 13-7 days before your first day of camp will receive a 50% refund, and cancellations received 6 days or less in advance will not be refunded - NO EXCEPTIONSNo refunds given for missed days.

Should SAYCSC Sail Camp be cancelled for any reason you will be refunded in full. 

What happens if it rains or storms?

Safety is our top priority at SAYCSC. While we will sail through rain, we do not allow ANY water activity when there is lightning within a 10-mile radius. As passing thunderstorms are very much a part of Florida summers, we have many “wet weather” activities planned to keep your child(ren) engaged, learning, and having fun until pick-up time. However, in the event that any Sail Camp day must be fully or partially cancelled due to foreseen or unforeseen inclement weather, you will be notified via email/text/phone by Sail Director. Named storms, tropical storms, hurricanes, and/or tornado watch or warnings will result in cancelled day(s). Should 3 or more full days be cancelled due to inclement weather or high winds, you will be refunded in full and/or have the option to book another week pending availability.

What is the Sail Camp Handbook?

    All Sail Camp details including required gear, rules, waivers, etc. are located in our Sail Camp Handbook which is sent upon registration. Should you have any additional questions prior to registering, please contact the Sail Director
