SAYCSC Race Team Program - Opti Green, Opti Advanced, & 420 Sail Teams
Opti Green Team (Ages 8 - 13) - Designed for those who know how to sail, and want to learn to race. Opti Green team practices twice a week on Sundays and Tuesday afternoons. Sailboats included.
Opti Advanced Team (Ages 8 - 13) - Designed for experienced racers with previous Sail Team experience. Charter boats available. Opti Advanced Team practices twice a week on Sundays and Tuesday afternoons.
420 Team (Ages 14 - 17) - Designed for those who know how to sail, and want to learn how to race. 420 team practices twice a week on Sundays and Thursday afternoons. Sailboats included.
All Sail Teams have two full-day clinics, one in October and one in November, with past US Sailing team member and North American Champion guest coaches.
Opti Advanced and 420 teams will attend 3 traveling regattas and 1 intra-squad regatta, Opti Green will attend 1 traveling regatta and 1 intra-squad regatta. All practices, regatta dates, as well as Sail Team maintenance days and trailering days are listed on schedule in Sail Team Handbook, emailed upon registration.
Interested sailors must commit to all practices, clinics, regattas, and maintenance and trailering days. Parental involvement is required, please email Sail Director with questions prior to registering.
